  1. Hi,

First, thank you for your post.

I have a problem: I put win 7 64 bits on my Dell D530 and do the upgrades as you have mentioned. On XP my DVD drive was working, but now until win7 installed, my DVD drive is inaccessible. “!” is mentioned near it on the “Manager peripherals” window, and it is invisible on the explorer window. It look likes that the DVD drive is not recognized by the system. But when I check for the update of his driver, windows tell me that the DVD drive is already updated. The P/N of the DVD drive is : C3284-A00
    Do you have a issue?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Robert

  2. Hi Robert; I plan to install Win 7 pro on the same laptop Dell Latitude D530. My concern is size of RAM (I have 2 GB) and generally speed of Win 7 on this quite old laptop. I also wonder if 32bit version can be faster than 64bit. What is You opinion ? 64bit version works fine ? What is Your RAM size ?
